A Forgotten Seventh Wonder of the World
With 757,500 gallons of water tumbling over the three falls per second, it's no wonder this was once a seventh wonder of the world. Now considered a forgotten seventh wonder, Niagara Falls remains a huge attraction for New York and Ontario.
I was visiting family out in Buffalo New York, and couldn't help but make a trip to see these marvelous overflows of water. I have been here before as a kid, but really wanted to see it again as an adult. Now having an appreciation for its magnitude, I have much more respect for the beauty this beholds.
There are three falls in total. Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls, and the Bridal Veil Falls. Horseshoe Falls lands on the Canadian side, while the American and Bridal Veil Falls lie on the United States.
One can view the falls from either country, I decided to see it from both perspectives. It was a true spectacle to see and I would urge anyone who has a chance to see it to check it out.
