Passion + patience = perfection, Josh Nelson joins the thisworldexists team

Josh Nelson hails from Salt Lake City, Utah and when he is not tending to the huge demands of law school, he spends every spare minute exploring in the outdoors. His attitude to explore inspires us to continue to seek adventure and be constantly looking forward to what the next one will bring.

"thisworldexists is what I am all about, getting people off of there couches and into this amazing world. There are so many things that I didn't know about in my own backyard, and platforms like thisworldexists and others helped me discover them. I want to help people do the same."

When asked about his most memorable adventure, Josh told us of a 3am wake up with his wife by his side as they high tailed it down to Bryce Canyon for sunrise. Memorable because it made him realise that he had been missing out on a lot of things because he was unwilling to give up sleep or to take a long drive - to basically get out of his comfort zone. With a changed mindset, Josh is certain to live the rest of his days to the maximum.

"I don't make that mistake anymore."

Often Josh finds himself doing a lot of solo adventuring that gives him the flexibility and freedom to choose where and how he goes. When you are as passionate about getting the perfect shot, patience is just as important as quality photography skills. When asked about his favourite adventure location, it didn't take him long to think.

"Iceland, it looks amazing and seems to be a mecca for adventure photographers. The waterfalls, the black sand, the green hills. Everything about it looks incredible. Someday..."
