Tammy, a Mammoth outdoor adventurer
Growing up, Tammy Wilson thinks back fondly to the time spent in the Eastern Sierras with her family where they enjoyed many camping trips where they would explore the mountains. Now a resident of Mammoth Lakes in California, her love of outdoor adventure has continued to blossom into an unquenchable desire to explore and challenge herself.
"I'm passionate about keeping the outdoors beautiful, I'm always outside picking up trash and trying to keep things pristine. I'm also passionate about Rock Climbing, I love going to new amazing places just to enjoy the rock."
Adventure to her includes anything that involves getting outside and exploring old or new places with a good crew. When asked about how adventure travel has influenced her she says that is has led to her appreciation of natural beauty and created a desire to explore new places.
"And to accept when things don't always go as "planned". To just go with the flow."
Thankful for having amazing teachers, her first rock climbing experience was one of her most memorable experiences as she was able to overcome boundaries that she never thought she would be capable of. Now, there is nothing holding her back as confidence and skills have grown into a deep proficiency and passion.
Tammy knows that there are many ways to be active in the outdoors (involving herself in hiking, climbing, biking, running, camping and yoga) and looks forward to inspiring people not only become more active but to help them to become more educated on the outdoors.
